On May 16, our winning Global Reading Challenge team, The Mysterious Benaltabe Society, attended a celebratory lunch. Also attending, Marcellus Turner, Executive Director and Chief Librarian of Seattle Public Library; Amy Lawson, Executive Assistant of SPL; Molly Montogue, Curriculum Specialist for Seattle Public Schools; and our own Julie Pearson and Dan Sanger.

The Mysterious Benaltabe Society won this year’s Global Reading Challenge in Seattle, rising to the top of over 400 teams around the city. These savvy, team-minded fifth graders include Alex B., Charlotte C., Justin D., Clara M.Z, Djuna N., and Kian R. Congratulations, readers!
